Merry Christmas

These past 2 weeks we have given our fingers a workout making all sorts of Christmas gifts for you.  We had fun using Christmas shaped hole punches to make Christmas pictures!

We practiced our cutting skills using kid safe scissors and wrapping paper!

We made some beautiful shiny trees with sequence and glue!

We worked on a special present for all of you.

And we made some cute reindeer with our hands and feet.  It was so cool adding all the glitters with Mrs. Jen!

We also talked about the concept of big and little while working with some pictures of Christmas trees.

During Gingerbread week we were able to try gingerbread cookies.  Some kids really loved them while others did not.

We also sorted by shape while playing a gingerbread game!

And our party was a HUGE success!  We danced and sang Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.

Frosted and ate Christmas cookies!

Opened a present that Mrs. Jen and Mrs. Beth gave them.

And read the story One Snowy Day.

Earth and Fire Pottery

Thank you to all who helped in making our Earth and Fire Pottery day a success.  The kids had so much fun, and it was great seeing you all interact with your kids.  It was an awesome day!

Trains

This week we had SOO much fun with trains!  We had the train table all set up with a Thomas the Train mat!

We reviewed all of our colors while reading the book Freight Train by: Donald Crews!

Then we made a colorful train of our own using water color!

We made a "name train" by matching the letters in our name and gluing them to the engine!

We also talked about the letter R for railroad.  We practiced writing it, stamped it, and made a really cool train to remember it!

Then we ended our week with The Polar Express!  We got on the train and rode all the way up to the North Pole!

They also got to make a Polar Express of their very own using glue, paint, and empty spools of thread.

It was another GREAT week with a GREAT group of kids!
