For our last theme of the year, we studied farms. We learned all about them in class and then on Friday we got to visit a real farm! We had fun sorting animals in the farm that was set up in the classroom!
We used our fine motor muscles to lace cards with baby farm animals on them.
And gave our brains a workout, when we solved a real big puzzle of a barn!
Mrs. Beth helped us make a red barn to take home!
And, we discussed that not all farms had animals, some farms only have plants. We looked back at our bean experiment, that we started a couple weeks ago, and discovered there were roots shooting out and a leaf was inside the bean seed!
To complete our farm unit, and our school year, we headed out to Huber's Farm on Friday. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to end an awesome year.
Have a wonderful summer, and I can't wait to see you all in the fall!

Derby
On Thursday we had our very own Derby day at school! We got all dressed up in fancy hats!
And turned our train table into Churchill Downs!
We learned that horse begins with the letter Hh and colored a horse.
And explored real horseshoes at the play dough table.
I hope you all have as much fun on your Derby day as we did ours!
