Thank you everyone for making our 1st every Grandparent's Day at LAP a huge success. The kids had so much fun with their grandparents and loved showing off their classroom. The grandparents seem to have a great time hanging out with their little ones and seeing all they do in preschool as well!

Off to a GREAT Start!
We had an AWESOME first week of school. The kids did great! Mrs. Amy, Mrs. Crystal, and I were so impressed with how well all the kids did. They were great friends to everyone, shared with others, and did a great job listening to directions!
We spent the week exploring the room and learning all about the different centers set up around the room. We had baby center up and running.
Play dough was a class favorite!
Sensory Table was filled with rice, letters, and the children's names!
We learned about the first letter in our name while we discovered the Word Wall and how it works.

We had bingo dotters out to explore.
Play dough was a class favorite!
And we even got scissors out for the kids to explore.
We also spent the week learning about the alphabet as a whole. We sang many songs about the alphabet, and even danced to a few.

And we even tried to write our name for one of our first portfolio pieces!
In the end, it was a GREAT week with a GREAT group of kids!
And we even got a little bit messy!!!!!
I can't wait to see what next week brings!

Farm
For our last theme of the year, we studied farms. We learned all about them in class and then on Friday we got to visit a real farm! We had fun sorting animals in the farm that was set up in the classroom!
We used our fine motor muscles to lace cards with baby farm animals on them.
And gave our brains a workout, when we solved a real big puzzle of a barn!
Mrs. Beth helped us make a red barn to take home!
And, we discussed that not all farms had animals, some farms only have plants. We looked back at our bean experiment, that we started a couple weeks ago, and discovered there were roots shooting out and a leaf was inside the bean seed!
To complete our farm unit, and our school year, we headed out to Huber's Farm on Friday. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to end an awesome year.
Have a wonderful summer, and I can't wait to see you all in the fall!
