This week we learned all about Easter. We learned about why we celebrate Easter, some Easter traditions, and all about the letter E!
We talk about Jesus and how he died on the cross for us, was buried, and then rose from his grave. The kids then practice coloring inside the lines while they colored a cross to celebrate Jesus.
Then we talked about how we celebrate Easter with the Easter Bunny and Easter Eggs. The kids gave their fine motor skills a workout while they squeezed the glue bottle to attach cotton balls on the Easter Bunny.
And manipulated Play-Doh to make Easter shapes.
Then we had A LOT of fun with Easter Eggs. The kids loved decoding their special message while water coloring their egg!
And stamping Easter Stamps
The big skill we worked on this week was names.
The kids had to recognize their own name.
Then we talked about the letters in their name.
Finally they worked on writing the 1st letter of their name all by themselves! I am very proud of them, all that tracing practice is really paying off!
It was another great day with a great group of kids!
