This week we learned all about ponds and pond life. The kids had a lot of fun exploring the "pond" in our classroom and all the wild life that was in it.
After they were done exploring the pond, we sat down to talk about all the animals they saw, and learned some interesting facts about some of them. They learned that a snake's skin doesn't grow with them, they shed it when it becomes to small for them. Then they even had a chance to feel some real snake skin! Most of the kids gave it a try but some said it was "disgusting."
We also learned that frogs start off as eggs, then hatch as tadpoles, grow legs, and become a big frog. Then we made a diagram about frogs and wrote the letter F for frog.
We had a lot of fun doing a frog letter match,
Frog counting,
Frog painting,
And finger paint!!!!!
It was another great day with a great group of kids. We are so blessed!
