This we week were busy, busy, busy. We were finishing up our pond life work from last week, learning all about horses to get ready for Derby, and making our mom's a special gift for Mother's Day.
To finish up our Pond life work, the kids rolled a red piece of paper to make the tongue for the frog mask they finger painted last week. It was a great activity that gave the kid's fine motor skills a workout, and the kids loved playing with their mask!
We also had some very special guest in our classroom! Thanks to some friends in other classes we were able to hold a real duckling, and we now have tadpoles in our class! We are excited to watch them over the next few weeks and see if they grow legs and turn into frogs before the end of the school year.
We had fun with horseshoes, horses, and the letter H to celebrate Derby weekend!
And of course we had to do something special for our wonderful moms.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day and Derby weekend!!! See ya next week.
