Snowmen

This week we had more fun with snow and snowmen!  The kids  loved making snowmen with our new play dough.  Just check out some of these creations!  I was completely amazed how great they did rolling balls to make a snowman, it really takes A LOT of fine motor control to make little balls with play dough.

We also cut out circles to make a snowman.  It was pretty tricky, but the kids are really doing a great job figuring out this difficult skill!

We worked on the number 5 this week.  At group time we practiced counting to 5 and writing 5 in the air.  Then they went to the table and traced the number 5 on the snowman's hat.

We colored the snowman,

Then we got to pick out 5 buttons to glue onto our snowman.

Check out this final product!  I was so impressed!!!

We also made some fake snow to explore in the classroom.  The kids loved putting it in different containers and pushing it all around. It was definitely a different texture and kept the kids very entertained.

My favorite activity of the week was the kid's cotton ball snowmen!  It was so cool.  We gave the kids an orange triangle, 2 eyes, a brown hat, and cotton balls and told them to make a snowman.  It was so cool watching their little minds thinking about how they were going to make these snowmen, and they all turned out so unique!  I absolutely love them!

It was another GREAT week with an AWESOME group of kids!
