Ice and Snow

We had so much fun with snow and ice this week!  The kids loved having icebergs with characters stuck in them, in the sensory table.  They used tools, syringes, and warm water to try and melt the ice to free some of their favorite characters!

Sooo much FUN!!!

We also built some homes for polar bears with ice cubes,

Painted with snow and ice,

and we gave our finger muscles a workout while we picked up colored "snow balls" with tweezers.  Just check out the concentration!  I love it!

Our art project this week also gave our fine motor muscles a little workout.  The kids had to use tape to make snowflakes on a piece of paper, then we painted over it with water color.  It was very tricky using the tape, but the kids really loved trying to do a "big" kid project.

We also talked about the square shape, and the kids had some yummy fun gluing "snowballs" in a square pattern.

What a GREAT group of kids, that continue to amaze me each and everyday!
