Oceans

WOW!  We had so much fun with the theme of oceans these past two weeks, and boy did we do some GREAT crafts that gave our little finger muscles a workout!

We made a hand print ocean scene that required the kids to cut, glue, sprinkle, and work very hard.  First Mrs. Beth painted the kids hands to make a purple octopus and an orange fish.

Then they had to cut a piece of green paper to make the seaweed.

Next they had to paint glue all the way across the bottom of the page and sprinkle sand on the glue to make the ocean floor.

Finally, they glued on the seaweed and their ocean creatures to make their ocean scene.

It was a very BIG project for these little guys, but they loved doing it, and they turned out GREAT!!!!

We worked on our tracing/writing skills while making a fish swimming in the ocean.

At the writing center the kids independently explored under the sea stencils and stamps.

We made a crab by painting a paper plate red and cutting out 6 legs!

We made a jelly fish with contact paper, sequence, and ribbon!

Check out this crazy sea creature!

And of course, the week wouldn't have been complete without the sensory table full of blue rice, ocean animals, shells, and magnifying glasses!

It was another GREAT week with an AWESOME group of kids!
