We had a wonderful week at Lafayette Academy learning all about Easter and why we celebrate it. We started off the week talking about Palm Sunday, then the kids practiced their cutting skills while they made palm fronds of their own.
During our discussion of Palm Sunday, we talked about how the people were saying "Hosana" as Jesus came to Jeruselum. Some kids took it upon themselves to reenact the story. Sooo cute!
We also discussed how Jesus died on the cross for our sins, then the kids painted a cross.
On Friday we talked with the kids about how Jesus rose from the dead and is now in heaven watching over us.
We also had fun with many different Easter traditions! We had eggs and baskets in the sensory table!
There were bunny, egg, chick, and tulip cookie cutters at the play dough table.
Our writing center was full of Easter stamps, Easter stickers, and markers.
And, we had a lot of fun making an Easter chick for all of you!
Happy Easter everyone
