We had to begin our week by revisiting Easter. Last week we read the story Clifford's Egg Hunt. At the end of the story, Clifford and the kids enjoyed their eggs. The kids were totally disgusted by this and couldn't believe you could eat Easter eggs, so on Monday we had hard boiled eggs for snack, and they were a HUGE hit!
After we finished up our little Easter business, we had a wonderful time studying oceans! Our sensory tub was full of fish with letters, numbers, and shapes on them. The kids had a blast catching them with their fishing poles!
We reviewed our color words by painting a beautiful shell,
and this week we worked on our writing skills by labeling ocean animals that we made with our very own hand prints!
We worked on addition while adding different sea animals,
and the highlight of the week was seeing a real baby pup shark in a jar, thanks to Mrs. Kelly! It was a great way for the kids to get an up close look at the shark. They loved seeing his mouth, gills, fins, and eyes, very cool!
I am so proud of these kids and how much they have learned, just check out these big kids finding sight words in our letter poems! So smart!!!
