Happy New Year

We had so much fun seeing our friends, discovering all the new toys, and celebrating the New Year this week.  This week we worked real hard on numbers and number recognition.

We had numbers hidden in the blue rice, and as the kids uncovered the numbers, they showed Mrs Crystal the number and told her what number it was!  It was a lot of messy fun!

We also talked about midnight and the kids had to fill in the missing numbers on the clock to make their very own clock.  Mrs. Jen would help them count and show them where the stamp went, but they found which stamp they needed to use all by themselves!

We worked on many different fine motor skills this week.  We worked on cutting and tracing while we made our 2012 party hats.

We also worked on our cutting skills with straws!  It was a lot of fun and it made some great confetti for a party.

We worked on our self feeding skills when we had to scoop the glitter out of a bowl to sprinkle on our New Years Ball.

And it was also a lot of fun counting backwards from 10 to celebrate the New Year (and watching our balls drop)!

The kids loved being back at school.  Just check out all these kiddos hard at work!

They LOVED discovering all the new toys Santa brought LAP!

We even got to go outside!!!

It was another GREAT week with a GREAT group of kids!
