This week the kids had so much fun with Polar Bears they didn't even know they were giving their fine motor muscles a workout! We had the kids squeezing the glue bottle to glue cotton balls on a polar bear.
They painted with homemade puffy paint inside the lines to make a BIG fluffy polar bear.
And they made bear prints in the play dough to discover what polar bear tracks might look like in the Arctic.
We also worked on writing this week. We wrote the letter P all by ourselves and glued penguins and polar bears all around it.
We worked on some of the letters in our name this week. First we did hand over hand with Mrs. Jen to write our name (or letter).
Then we used a glue stick to trace the letter/letters we had just wrote.
And finally, we got to glitter! They could either scoop or shake (many of them chose BOTH!)
Check out this finally product, soooo cute!!!
We even had time to practice the math concept of sorting with colored bears! The kids loved these little bears and worked/played with them all morning!
Polar Bear week wouldn't be complete without the sensory table full of blue rice and arctic animals,
some great Polar Bear stories,
And all of our fun Preschool songs!
