Penguins

This week our room was turned into the Arctic Tundra!  We had an igloo in our room, that was an awesome spot to hangout with friends!!!!

It even had it's own fishing hole!  The kids loved fishing for fish and showing their teachers and friends what letter they caught!

There was even a scientist in the Arctic taking pictures of all the penguin fun!

We worked real hard searching for penguins in the shaving cream!

We painted with black and white to discover that mixing black and white makes gray.

We even pretended to be penguins and played "Follow the Penguin,"  with penguin motions.  We waddled, jumped, swam, dove, and slid on our bellies like penguins!

It was cold tickley fun, when Mrs. Beth painted our feet to make our very own penguin print!

We got the blue rice out again today, this time we had arctic animals in it!  The kids worked together to build an igloo on the land and they were separating the land animals and the water animals!  It was so amazing watching their little minds work!

And we even enjoyed a cute little penguin treat!

These kids continue to amaze me, and I am so lucky to have them in my class.  Just check out some of these hard workers!

They are really working hard on so many of those prewriting skills and loving it!  I am so proud :)!
