Pumpkins and Costumes

We had a great day Thursday in the two's room.  We got to dress in costume and parade around the school.  We had quite a variety of costumes in our class.  We had everything from Snow White, to Minnie Mouse, to Thing 1 and much much more.  Here are some I was able to capture on film.

We also had a lot of fun with pumpkins today.  We carved a pumpkins and got to touch pumpkin goo.  As you can see some of the kids loved the feel of the goo and some didn't even want to sit on the tablecloth we set out :)

We also got to decorate pumpkins with glitter, make pumpking books, and investigate pumpkins, gourds, and corn in the sensory table.  It was so much fun.

Trike-a-thon

Thank you to all who came out to support our school at the 4th annual Trike-a-thon.  It was a huge success thanks to you!!

Apple Fun

Last week we had a lot of fun with apples.  We painted with apples to make apple prints, we practiced our cutting and writing skills to finished up our apple magnets, read apple stories, and of course we had a lot of fun singing and dancing to some crazy songs.

The kids just love the new book we made.  They love finding
pictures of themselves and their friends!

The kids loved seeing Mrs. Jen act so silly.  They couldn't
stop laughing.

Of course one of the best parts of the day is outside time.  We absolutely love going outside and seeing our friends in other classes.

Apples

We had a blast learning about apples.  We learned a new song about apples, laced apple cut outs, painted apples, and even made some pretend apple pie in the kitchen!

Here are some picture of the kids coloring their apple certificate.  Certifying that they are a "Good Apple"

They are doing a great job sitting in a circle and singing!  We are really starting to love circle time and all the singing and dancing that comes along with it.

Way to go class, I am so proud of you!

By far our favorite activity of the day is painting.  They always get so excited when we get out the paint, and they all do a great job being patient and waiting their turn.  Oooh what fun.....

We also finished up our friends unit today by putting the finishing touches on each page.  Each child got to watch their name be written on the page and then got to trace over their name with pencil.  The kids were so proud of their work and Mrs. Jen was very impressed with their efforts!  I am so blessed to have each and everyone of them in my class.

I think it turned out great!  The kids loved to see their own picture and will enjoy reading it all year long in our classroom library!

What a great day!  Here are some more of my favorite pictures from the day.  Enjoy and I can't wait to see all of you next week.
